We are proud to have been selected to renovate and build the Swift and Ore Hill Restaurant in Kent CT for the late philanthropist Anne Bass. The project was designed by Architect Yvette Adams all the way from New Zealand! Every detail of the restoration of the post and beam structure was studied and restored to as close as original while meeting and exceeding current building codes. It was a real challenge to integrate all the modern technology, fire suppression, acoustic controls while maintaining the historic character of the structure. The project included the installation of a new foundation under the existing structure, installing a authentic 18th century fire place, a large wood burning oven that was finished with absolute black leathered granite, hand plane wood paneling and the shaker bar.
