This project encompasses new construction and renovation work to an existing 3,000 square foot Colonial home. The existing architectural details of the original home were updated to match the detailing of the home’s new addition. The transition is seamless. On the inside of the home, there is a “modern” Colonial feel. A contemporary kitchen was installed and the use of modern lighting and trim details give the home a modern feel. Antique beams and glass give the kitchen a new twist on the average Colonial kitchen. Contemporary fixtures rest on native wide pine floors and give the feeling of being modern while still being well grounded. Curly maple cabinetry and stainless steel appliances complement the glass tile and the stainless steel upper cabinets with frosted glass doors in the kitchen. This is truly a gorgeous home blending the best of old and new.
